Sales Consultant - Renewable Energy



Overview


Our client is seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Solar Sales & Projects Specialist to drive new business, prepare quotations, and support customers in choosing the right solar solution. You’ll combine sales activity with an understanding of solar systems to convert enquiries into successful installations.


Sales & Business Development



  • Generate new opportunities through inbound enquiries, outbound calls, email outreach, and customer engagement.

  • Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable solar PV solutions.

  • Create clear, compelling quotations to support strong conversion rates.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.

  • Build long‑lasting relationships with domestic and commercial clients.

  • Revisiting existing client accounts to re‑engage and strengthen relationships

  • Work towards and exceed sales targets.


Technical & Project Support



  • Support the design of roof‑mounted solar PV schemes (training can be provided).

  • Explain system benefits, performance expectations, and ROI to customers.

  • Assist with procurement of solar equipment once orders are secured.

  • Collaborate with installation teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.


Market & Product Awareness



  • Maintain familiarity with current solar products, pricing, and industry trends.

  • Communicate solar system advantages clearly and confidently.

  • Suggest improvements to sales processes and customer experience.


Skills & Experience (Not Essential)


Full training can be provided — none of the following are essential:



  • Experience in sales, customer service, or customer‑facing roles.

  • Basic understanding of solar PV or interest in renewable energy.

  • Confidence speaking with customers and building rapport.

  • Ability to prepare quotations or work with simple design tools.

  • Good organisation and communication skills.
